Services
Career coaches work with you to achieve your goals in the following areas: identifying strengths and interest areas, exploring majors and career options, gaining practical experience, developing professional competencies (i.e. resumes, interviewing, networking, etc.) and transitioning to employment or graduate school. Contact the CPDC to schedule an appointment.
No appointment necessary! Stop in to meet with a Student Career Coach to discuss resumes, interviewing, internships, career exploration, networking, job search strategies, and more!
To assist you in identifying your interests, abilities, and personality preferences, create an account on FOCUS. Use the Access Code: falcon, and complete your profile. We recommend using your campus email address as your username and student ID as your password. Please note that the system is case-sensitive.
Find information about academic majors and career opportunities that fit your strengths and interest areas. Explore our "What can I do with a major in…?" sheets and department-specific brochures, as well as resources in our library and on our website.
Acquire valuable experience and explore potential career paths by engaging in an internship, allowing you to determine if they align with your interests and are the right fit for you.
Each year the CPDC sponsors a variety of career-related programs. Watch for information about our annual Career and Graduate School Expo, career-related workshops, and other locally-sponsored job fairs.
If you're considering graduate-level programs, services include one-on-one advising, Graduate School Practice Test Drives, library resources, and an annual graduate school fair.
